Where Tänder Began
Two Surgeons. One Belief That Specialty Care Was Broken.
Dr. Forrest Pratt and Dr. Jordan Campbell both trained at the University of Iowa's Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program — one of the most rigorous hospital-based OMS residencies in the country. Long days in the OR clarified what they valued: the way specialty care was handled wasn't working well for patients.
Patients needing oral surgery were being sent to an unfamiliar specialist in an unfamiliar place, on a timeline that added weeks to their care. They believed there was a better model — one where the surgeon travels to the patient, not the other way around.
In June 2025, Dr. Pratt and Dr. Campbell launched Tänder — Swedish for "teeth," a nod to Dr. Campbell's two years of service in Sweden. The concept: partner with established dental offices and bring board-certified surgical expertise directly to those offices.

The Problem We Solve
Oral Surgery Shouldn't Mean Starting Over Somewhere New
For most patients in Greater Phoenix, the path to oral surgery means a referral slip, a specialist they've never met, and an office across town. It works — but it's far from ideal, especially for patients who already carry dental anxiety. Tänder changes that equation: when a patient at one of our partner offices needs oral surgery, our surgeons come to them. Same office. Same front desk team. Same familiar faces. Just a highly trained surgical specialist who wasn't there before.

Built on the expertise, character, and commitment of two surgeons who chose to practice differently.
Dr. Forrest Pratt — OMS
A Mesa native and Red Mountain High School alumnus, introduced to oral surgery as a teenager. Earned his D.D.S. at Arizona School of Dentistry, top of his class, then completed his OMS residency at the University of Iowa in 2021.

Dr. Jordan Campbell — OMS
Earned his D.D.S. at Virginia Commonwealth University, top of his class in 2017, followed by a four-year OMS residency at the University of Iowa covering trauma, anesthesia, orthognathic surgery, TMJ, and implants.

Between Dr. Pratt's Arizona roots and Dr. Campbell's years of service experience, Tänder was never going to be just another dental business.
